We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This position will support the communications team in a variety of capacities, to help communicate the need and benefits of large electric infrastructure projects to internal and external stakeholders using a variety of communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement skills. Responsibilities include effective stakeholder communications and customer service activities. This role will use marketing and customer service skills to communicate to, promote and influence stakeholders regarding electric transmission projects.

 

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for directly supporting communication team members to assist with communications to property owners (residential, commercial, industrial, and governmental) and other stakeholders;
  • Aids in identifying issues and developing communication plans for the appropriate audience;
  • The person should have the ability to be flexible and handle changing and emerging priorities, should be adept at building rapport with internal and external stakeholders in order to successfully executive communications plans;
  • This position requires a proficient candidate willing to be flexible in support of various other duties as assigned. 

 

Duties include:

  • Work closely with Communications, Project Managers and Permitting process decision makers to coordinate outreach for upcoming projects
  • Help schedule and participate in Company-hosted public meetings
  • Create and assist with the implementation of communications plans
  • Perform a variety of customer relations/customer service duties to ensure prompt processing of customer requests
  • Prepare content for website and project dashboards
  • Coordinate meetings with property owners and team
  • Assist with the development of collateral such as fact sheets, one-pagers, brochures, etc on pertinent Company topics.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 0-2 years of communications, public relations, and/or related experience
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skillsets
  • Good communication, writing, editing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with handling difficult Customer Service situations-diplomacy, tactfulness and negotiation skills
  • Ability to coordinate fulfillment forms, letters, customer correspondence and other required materials for distribution to various publics
  • Planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously; demonstrated work prioritization and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • While in the field, candidate will be wearing construction safety gear such as: hard hat, steel toe boots, safety vest and glasses while at construction sites

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines: Journalism, Mass Communications

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:

 

$52800 - $68600

The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
