We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy Virginia Electric Transmission Project Controls is seeking to hire a Business Performance Analyst with Primavera scheduling experience and a proficiency in Excel skills. Schedulers will be using both Primavera and SAP for schedule maintenance.

 

General Business Performance Analyst Duties:

 Prepare, analyze, and present financial case studies for a business process. Define and develop performance metrics, analyze and recommend data collection process improvements, and ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics. Identify better work and business processes. Develop cost/allocation, cost/benefit programs, systems, and models to support the development of business strategies. Develop programs and implement automated methods and systems to track workflow and performance efficiencies. Perform varied analyses and prepare reports of an economic, business, and engineering nature.

 

Basic Job Duties:

Schedule Electric Transmission substation and line projects in SAP and Oracle Primavera Cloud. Perform all duties required for upkeep of SAP project network activities. Work with Dominion teams to improve and schedule support processes.

 

Specific Job Duties:

  • Work directly with Electric Transmission Project Management to develop project schedules and establish project plans in SAP and OPC
    • Develop baselines, update and maintain detailed current schedules in Oracle Primavera Cloud 
    • Conduct schedule health checks, perform critical path analysis, and identify risks
    • Analyze float paths and create monthly scenarios
    • Generate look-ahead reports and support development of recovery plans
    • Ensure date agreement between SAP and OPC
  • Enter and maintain cost plans for Transmission Line and Substation construction projects based on approved estimates
  • Assign durations and work centers to activities and communicate discrepancies
  • Modify/maintain multiple project schedules in SAP and OPC
  • Schedule/reschedule all activities and significant milestones based on Project Management guidance and approval
  • Modify and create WBS elements and networks in SAP/OPC as needed
  • Create, lock, release, close network activities as applicable
  • Ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics
  • Identify and implement enhanced business processes
  • Handle a moderate volume of requests via email in a timely manner 
  • Participate in project meetings, providing input and documentation
  • Lead late activity review and upcoming construction meetings and provide guidance to project managers
  • Run reports via SAP Fiori and compile, analyze, manipulate, and deliver information via Excel spreadsheets

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

Associate Business Performance Analyst: 0-2 years of relevant experience in a directly related field

Business Performance Analyst: 2+ years of relevant experience in a directly related field

 

  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Good planning, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

 

Preferred: 

At least 2 years of Primavera scheduling experience, including a solid understanding of critical path methodology 

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance

Other Disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:

 

Associate Business Performance Analyst: $52800 - $68600

Business Performance Analyst: $65,500 - $85,000  

 

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location. This is not intended to represent the full salary range for the position or limit future compensation growth.
