We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy has an exciting opportunity on our Supply Chain Management team as either an Associate Materials Specialist or Materials Specialist, commensurate on selected candidate's skills. This position will be filled at our office in Innsbrook location.

 

Associate Materials Specialist

  • Evaluate and processes requests and documentation, to ensure material is processed and ordered in a timely basis.  
  • Perform detailed inventory analysis to include updating stocking levels, rounding value, minimum lot size, or material classification based on current and historical movement history to determine actual demand.  
  • Consult with planners to determine real versus contingency requirements.  
  • Review on-hand inventory for possible transfer opportunities.  
  • Maintain the integrity of the SAP material master and other systems used for tracking inventory.  
  • Responsible for new item creation, extending materials to other known locations, combining like for like materials, accuracy of mass load requirements, and processing transfer requests.  
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required and requested.
  • Ability to learn nuclear safety-related parts requirements and regulations of 10CFR50 APPENDIX B & 10CFR21 APPLICABILITY associated with nuclear parts quality.  
  • Basic understanding of PAMS/Maximo and SAP material planning.  
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.


Materials Specialist

  • Review monthly reporting such as obsolete, deplete/delete, and inventory variance reports and ensure items are addressed promptly.  
  • Understanding of nuclear safety-related parts requirements and regulations of 10CFR50 APPENDIX B & 10CFR21 APPLICABILITY associated with nuclear parts quality.  
  • Understanding of PAMS/Maximo and SAP material planning.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Associate Materials Specialist: 0-2 years of basic knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control experience.

  • Basic knowledge of client groups, commodities, and specialties.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of plant equipment and materials.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory analysis techniques.
  • Working knowledge of supplier relations, priority management, and tactical planning.
  • Good oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic forecasting and trend analysis skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Value and cost analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to process information quickly and accurately.


Materials Specialist: 2-3 years related work experience.

  • Knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of client groups, commodities, and specialties.
  • Knowledge of nuclear plant equipment and materials.
  • Knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of inventory analysis techniques.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Supply Chain, Business, Marketing
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
