Job Summary
Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) is seeking a Supervisor, Operations & Maintenance (2nd Line) for the Columbia Energy Center - combined cycle power plant in Gaston, SC. Dominion Energy South Carolina’s Columbia Energy Center is located in Gaston, SC (Calhoun County). Columbia Energy Center is a regulated 540-megawatt facility.
Lead first-line supervisors who direct multi- or single-craft teams in the operation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of station equipment and facilities. Provide leadership in the implementation of policies, procedures, condition-based assessments and work methods for electrical, mechanical, welding, I&C, and labor multi-craft maintenance teams. Oversee production at company generating facility to provide reliable, efficient and economical electric service to customers. Ensure the station operates within company, local, state, and federal environmental policies, regulations, and procedures. Coordinate operational activities with other departments at the station. Ensure the proper equipment is available and maintained. Manage all maintenance related activities including outage preparation and execution. May also provide input into and partial oversight of construction projects supporting these areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Advanced knowledge of fossil power stations, electrical and mechanical systems, and welding processes typically gained through considerable related work experience.
- Working knowledge of labor contract and employee relations policies.
- Thorough understanding of company safety policies/programs, and environmental and regulatory policies/requirements.
- Basic knowledge and applications of mathematics, chemistry, physics, and computer operations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to include previous supervisory experience is required.
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills are required.
- Strong computer skills are a must.
- The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter capable of functioning at increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience with Computer based maintenance management systems such as Maximo is desired.
Education Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
Bachelor’s Degree and seven (7) years of related experience OR an Associate’s Degree (technical degree preferred) and nine (9) years of related experience is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or a Power Generation related discipline is preferred.
Experience must be in a power generation or similar industrial environment.
Combined-Cycle and Coal/Natural Gas Steam plant experience is a plus
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
A valid driver's license is required.

- This position may require working weekends, nights and holidays during outages, and other abnormal operating conditions.
- Must be willing to relocate within a 50 miles driving distance of the plant facility.
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to safely climb stairs/ladders to structure heights exceeding 100 feet as required.
