Job Summary
Provides technical assistance in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems. Makes recommendations for repair and/or improvement. Completes basic preventive and emergency maintenance projects. Performs periodic testing, inspection and maintenance of facility fire protection systems and HVAC systems. Assists in installing, repairing, and replacing computer cable and telecommunication wiring. Performs supporting maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating machinery parts, completing routine plumbing repairs, maintaining lighting systems, relocating office furniture and cubicles, coordinating service contracts with vendors, and painting. Interprets building blueprints and related diagrams. Performs basic, routine maintenance tasks in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing systems, and electrical systems.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- 2 years of related experience. Basic knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and building construction.
- Familiarity with personal computers.
- written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
