Job Summary
The successful candidate intern in this position will be involved throughout their time at the station in improving safety, environmental and cyber compliance, and reliability. The Instrument Technician Intern will assist station technicians in:
Monitoring plant instrumentation and control equipment
Respond to instrument maintenance needs
Review emissions equipment for accuracy
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Basic understanding voltage, current, resistance, pressure transmitters, temperature measurement devices, etc. The successful candidate does not need to have professional experience with transmitters but should be ready to learn how to calibrate and set up instrumentation in both a lab and field setting.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products
Previous work in an office and plant environments preferred
Education Requirements
Associate Technology degree or related
GPA ≥ 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
Expected graduation Winter 24 or later
