Job Summary

This position is located in Eastover, South Carolina. There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.  The employee will be responsible for:

 

  • Issuing and receiving materials for the plant via the computer system.
  • Position will manage inventory,
  • Issue and receive goods
  • Purchase and acquire materials within prescribed limits
  • Handle safety equipment.

 

This position provides assistance to corporate accounting, supply chain management, material management and all other storerooms throughout the company.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

 

  • Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft applications and keyboard proficiency with a minimum of 20 WPM. 
  • Previous storeroom, warehouse, materials management or plant operations experience is preferred.
  • This position requires heavy lifting (minimum 50 lbs.), standing for long periods of time, and the ability to climb stairs to the top of tall structures, so candidate must be in good physical condition.
  • The successful candidate will be mechanically and electrically inclined and have good communications and human relations skills.
  • Prior forklift experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment is desired.
  • This position also requires the availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime and must respond to call outs in support of plant Operations and Maintenance.

Education Requirements

Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) is required.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving history; with ability to obtain a CDL with Hazmat classification
