Job Summary

Birdseye Renewable Energy (“BRE”) is a wholly owned affiliate of Dominion Generation, Inc. based in Charlotte, NC. BRE has twin priorities. First, BRE leads utility scale solar and storage development of contracted assets with key C&I and utility customers in select markets within the broad geography of “Eastern US” for ownership by Dominion Generation. Second, BRE supports the development of solar (and battery storage) assets in the Commonwealth of Virginia in furtherance of the Virginia Clean Economy Act.

Potential duties for this intern include:
Analysis of solar development activities i.e., Queue, markets, points of interconnection, and pricing.
Use GIS tools to explore new markets, assist in creating maps, and prepare project presentations.
Assist in project development administration and process automation – prepare zoning packages, assist in project data templates, and archiving of project data.
Research emerging renewable energy developments that may impact the Business Unit.

Education Requirements

Enrolled in one of the following majors with a May 2025 - May 2026 graduation date:
Environmental Science, Business Administration, Finance, Geographic Information Systems or Information Systems
GPA Required 3.0 or higher in major or overall.
