Job Summary

Birdseye Renewable Energy (“BRE”) is a wholly owned affiliate of Dominion Generation, Inc. based in Charlotte, NC.  BRE has twin priorities. First, BRE leads utility scale solar and storage development of contracted assets with key C&I and utility customers in select markets within the broad geography of “Eastern US” for ownership by Dominion Generation.  Second, BRE supports the development of solar (and battery storage) assets in the Commonwealth of Virginia in furtherance of the Virginia Clean Economy Act.  Potential duties for this intern include:

  • Provide support to BRE’s financing, business development and real estate teams.
  • Support the team’s needs in relation to utility procedures, state and federal regulations, and modeling of project finance (including property tax, time of use, and revenue modeling).
  • Become familiar with the collection of information resources from the appropriate sources, including RTOs/ISOs, PSCs/UCs, and utility contacts.
  • Utilize modeling resources to support the Finance team as they develop and maintain business cases for markets to provide strategic direction for the site selection.

Enrolled in one of the following majors Environmental Science, Business Administration, Finance, Geographic Information Systems or Information Systems or related. 

Must have May 2024 - May 2025 graduation date. 

Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
