Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking to hire a motivated programmer analyst to support our Customer Information System. The successful candidates must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision and direction in a multi tasked environment. Ability to quickly understand the business needs and be creative in providing solutions to support long term goals of the company will be a plus. Responsibilities include support, maintenance, and enhancements of functions related to customer master data, service orders and related field mobility integrations of the Customer Information System in a cost-effective manner. Weekend and after-hour work will occasionally be required. The successful candidate will be required to carry a company provided cell phone and take part in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software development role for Senior Programmer Analyst
  • 3+ years of experience in software development role for the Programmer Analyst
  • Successful candidate will have extensive software development experience and knowledge/understanding of IT principles and development practices
  • Development experience using .Net technologies such as C#, WPF and WCF is required
  • AnchorProficiency with Microsoft Development Tools:  TFS, Visual Studio is required
  • Experience in relational database (SQL Server is preferred) design is required
  • Experience and understanding of operational processes in utility domain is a plus
  • Development experience using technologies such as XML, CSS, JavaScript, ESRI and jQuery is a plus
  • Development experience in Mobile app development is a plus
  • Must be able to work in a professional team environment with limited direct supervision
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent customer service, and problem-solving skills
     
  • Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
