Job Summary

 

Dominion Energy has an opening for an IT-Technician on the Workforce Support Team located in Cayce, SC. 

 

  • This position requires the ability to provide expert and creative solutions to user problems to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity.  
  • Research, resolve, and respond to complex questions received via telephone calls, customer generated tickets or emails, and provide support on electronic services, in accordance with current standards.
  • The position provides support for software as described in triage documentation and has proficient knowledge of Windows10, and Office 365.  
  • The position requires close coordination with all IST infrastructure and support teams.  
  • Extended hours, weekend and off-shift work to abide by various service level agreements and is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week on a rotation basis.

 

The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined below.

 

 Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).
 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

 

  • 3+ years of related experience  (a partial year of related experience of 6 months or greater will count as a year towards the qualifications)
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must be in good physical condition to lift, stand and bend and can lift 50 lbs.
  • Analyze hardware, software and network problems, disruptions or outages.
  • Communication via telephone and E-mail to the users and peers.
  • Understand network software and must be able to diagnose problems using network monitoring tools.
  • Install and support MS Office 365, and Windows10.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills to customers
  • Provide first level support based on triage documentation.
  • Refers more complex or unresolved issues to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently
  • Familiar with basic PC hardware functionality
  • In addition, the position requires close coordination with all IT infrastructure and support teams. Extended hours, weekend and off-shift work to abide by various service level agreements and is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week on a rotation basis.

 

 

 

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: BS 3+ year of experience. Other Education: Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics. 

High School and 7+ years of related experience.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Professional Certifications desired.
