Job Summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina is looking to hire an Operations Supervisor in Cayce, SC. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Dominion Energy Transport Network. Primary job duties include, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of: outside fiber plant, transport network and Operations Center.
  • Assigns and prioritizes tasks/project with direct reports.
  • Coordination of test and turn up of networks and services with 3rd party providers.
  • Ensures fiber splicing, networks and circuits are documented in Circuit Vision.
  • Sets and coordinates maintenance windows (both internal and 3rd party).
  • Schedules on-call rotation and shift schedule.
  • Manages and develops direct reports.
  • Provides training on operational procedures and requirements.
  • Perform drop in safety inspections on field crews.
  • Support network outage and storm response duties.



Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
  • Strong skillset in safety and efficient field-based operations.
  • Ability to make major decisions independently.
  • Experience leading people and managing projects.
  • The ability to coach, mentor, motivate and provide feedback to employees.
  • Working knowledge of SolarWinds Orion.
  • The ability to work nights, weekends and/or storm duty hours required on an as needed basis.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong safety awareness with a questioning attitude.
  • Well organized and high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
  • Strong problem solving/troubleshooting.
  • Ability to process information quickly and function under high stress situations.
  • Ability to develop rapport with Dominion employees, external customers and contractors.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Capable of leading by example.
  • Circuit Vision knowledge is a plus.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree and 4+years of telecommunication or job related experience or 
  • Associates Degree and 8+ years of telecommunication or  job related experience or
  • High School diploma or GED and 12+ years of telecommunication or job related experience.

Office Work Environment 76 -100%
