Job Summary

The Large Customer Accounts and Services Department of Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc. ("DESC") is seeking to fill multiple Account Manager positions, primarily responsible for developing successful relationships with DESC's largest electric and natural gas customers to ensure that DESC's customer service objectives are achieved. Location of positions is flexible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

o Establish strong relationships with assigned large customers to ensure the customer expectations are met and DESC's objectives are realized

o Develop an in-depth understanding of complex electric and natural gas rate structures, billing options, marketing plans, demand response programs, and renewable options to meet customer needs

o Own and manage the total customer relationship including interfaces with other DESC departments and senior leadership, having the ability to analyze and satisfactorily resolve customer problems and concerns

o Coordinate and manage customer service projects and load growth opportunities with DESC electric transmission, electric and gas distribution, gas operations and others

o Assist DESC economic development group with new or expanding customers within the DESC service territory by negotiating complex service contracts to promote load growth, meet customer expectations, and ensure appropriate ROI for DESC

o Coordinate and provide technical requirements for planned DESC facility and customer maintenance outages, transmission and distribution construction projects, and emergency scheduled repairs to ensure that customer expectations and utility needs are met in a timely manner

o Provide emergency storm and after-hours support by providing system outage/voltage sag information and customers service restoration estimates

o Gain customer support for DESC's positions on specific regulatory items, local ordinances, or legislative issues, while communicating and collaborating their respective positions to key internal stakeholders

o Maintain effective communication and education channels to share key information and assistance between DESC and assigned customers/stakeholders

o Develop and maintain comprehensive working knowledge of electric and natural gas systems and components, including those associated with DESC transmission and distribution systems, to understand their impact to the customer's systems, and of industrial processes and technologies used by assigned large customers that affect the energy delivery methods including all energy end uses

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

o Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field

o Five years of prior work experience in utility operations or commercial/industrial customer service

o Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously

o Demonstrated excellent judgment and decision-making skills

o Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including communication skills, presentation skills, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, and leadership skills

o Proven self-starter, results-oriented, and requiring little supervision to get things done

o Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to meet customer expectations

o Strong working knowledge of energy efficiency advancements and programs and have the knowledge and capability to pass the CEM certification test

o Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a good driving history

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

o MS, MBA, or equivalent experience

o Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM)

o Adept in DESC CIS system, electric and/or natural gas distribution and transmission systems, electric grid operations, and natural gas markets

o Knowledge of customer-side energy distribution and energy-consuming systems and processes, customer metering and customer procedures

o Experience managing customer relationships in a utility setting

o Knowledge of business processes, trends, economic development, regulatory framework and local business climate.
