Job Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a subsidiary business unit within the gas distribution segment of Dominion Energy. The role will lead a team of financial professionals and work with management to develop and implement strategies to achieve short term and long term financial goals. This will include the process management of financial services, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, etc for the business unit. The role will lead and coordinate the annual 5 year financial plan process. Manages the monthly forecasting and reporting process including an understanding of both financial and regulatory accounting conventions. Provides leadership on financial analysis and overall financial function including advising executive leadership and colleagues on decisions with financial implications. Ensures that capital projects are evaluated. Works with other gas distribution business units to identify and implement best practices. Manages operational review process with other Dominion business units. Manages service agreement process with other Dominion Energy business units. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
Minimum Requirements (note: a partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
- 8+ years of directly related experience with a Master's degree OR
- 9+ years of directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Experience in financial management and analysis; accounting standards and practices; pricing; cost allocation; budgeting.
-Experience with Excel and/or financial planning systems
-Skills: proven leadership; effective communication; organization and interpersonal; finance and accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Energy/Utility experience is a plus
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
