We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
The Dominion Energy Virginia Training group is looking for a training specialist to join their team. Our training specialists are responsible for creation and upkeep of training materials such as presentations, handouts, and computer-based training modules. They use the ADDIE Model to create these materials which meet identified training objectives and comply with established development standards. These deliverables support training programs in both Power Generation and Power Delivery, as well as supporting other training efforts as needed. This position is not responsible for instruction or facilitation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Associate training specialist: 0-2 years of directly related experience
- Training specialist: 3+ years of previous directly-related experience.*
*Note: A partial year of work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.
- Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Strong attention to detail,
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to process information and questions quickly and develop answers,
- Expert in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Articulate Storyline (or similar authoring software such as Adobe Captivate) is preferred.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Discipline: Education, Adult Learning
