Job Summary
This posting is for one position that will be filled at the level commensurate with the chosen candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience .
This position will provide technical training, instruction and coaching to Power Delivery personnel through the following responsibilities and activities:
- Provide guidelines, technical instruction, coaching, and advice primarily to Customer Projects Designers and also to other trainees (as needed).
- Deliver training content to ensure new Designers understand the rules, regulations, policies and guidelines to achieve an effective and safe project design.
- Conduct after-action reviews of course structure and materials following training sessions.
- Work closely with Power Delivery training developers and serve as a subject matter expert to develop and maintain training and safety materials.
- Assist in restoration during major storms.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Instructor: 3+ years or related design experience plus Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years plus Associate's degree, or 7+ years plus a high school diploma/GED
Senior Instructor: 5+ years or related design experience plus Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years plus Associate's degree, or 9+ years plus a high school diploma/GED
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
- Graduate of the Power Delivery Customer Projects Designer Program.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Previous experience as a Customer Projects Designer.
- Technical expertise in creating efficient designs which incorporate safety and service reliability and are economically feasible and operationally maintainable.
- Thorough understanding of Power Delivery safety policies and design standards.
- Proficient computer and writing skills.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above / below).
