We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Responsible for achieving annual revenue budgetary targets for Dominion Energy’s regulated and non-regulated subsidiaries through the sale and lease of corporate real estate assets.  

 

  • In the capacity of project manager involving projects for disposition, acquisition and leasing of real estate, this position performs initial site assessment; evaluates and determines market values; performs financial and investment analysis; ensures internal review and approvals with all departments; evaluates environmental, legal and regulatory implications to the corporation; coordinates property and wetlands surveying and archeological studies; recommends strategy for sale or lease; and transacts each deal through  the legal and closing process.
  • Performs the routine activities associated with the management of Dominion Energy’s real estate assets, including handling customer inquiries, processing easement requests, performing property records research, resolving zoning issues, accounting coordination, settling tenant/landlord issues, coordinates land surveying and coordinating inter-departmental communications regarding real estate matters.
  • Assist in analyzing and coordinating non-utility property taxation.
  • Negotiates and manages all corporate leases with Dominion Energy as landlord and tenant, including those for commercial office space and other service facilities, warehouses, communications sites, barge slips, and public and private hunting and recreation. 
  • Acts as a consultant to company liaisons with regulatory agencies regarding licensing requirements on all Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Hydroelectric project lands.   Responsible for regulatory reporting on and ensuring compliance with FERC Article 30 and Shoreline Management Guidelines, Public Service Commission Order 92-931 (IV-A&B), IRS 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange regulations (forward and reverse), form 8824 and other guidelines regarding real estate management and disposition.
  • Coordinates the development, construction and operation of both fresh and saltwater wetland mitigation banks in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers guidelines.
     

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

9 years directly related experience. Real estate license required (ability to obtain SC Real estate license within 6-12 months of hire).

  • Full knowledge of concepts and applications of real estate business and appraising property.
  • Basis knowledge and job specific applications of business, law, surveying and engineering.
  • Skills: verbal and written communications, interpersonal, negotiating, research, personal computer operation and applications.
  • Abilities: organization, appraise real estate, project positive company image in dealing with public, handle difficult people.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor 

Preferred Discipline(s):  Business, Real Estate

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Real estate license required (ability to obtain SC Real estate license within 6-12 months of hire).

Notary Public required when title is used in commercial operations.
