Job Summary

Works fairly independently on the most complex projects, at the highest technical level, of all phases of applications systems analysis activities. Formulates or defines system scope and objectives, based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. Works with multiple business units, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments. Guides and advises less experienced Systems Analysts. Monitored on projects' progress and results. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5+ years IT experience working in an enterprise environment, experience with Electric and Gas Utilities, and experience with Esri’s Utility Network.

3+ years' experience developing and maintaining programs using Python and Esri’s ArcPy libraries to:

  • Consume spatial and tabular data.
  • Transform spatial and tabular data, e.g. exporting to other formats and systems.
  • Print quantities of symbolized maps.

2+ years' experience with Esri’s enterprise GIS platform (10.8 or above) performing:

  • Installation of Portal and related components
  • Configuration, including federating AGS sites, and servers.
  • Monitoring overall system performance and health using ArcGIS Monitor, responding to error conditions reported by Monitor.
  • Maintenance (including e.g. certificate renewals), patching, upgrading.
  • Understanding of high availability configurations.

Experience using desktop tools, including:

  • ArcMap 10.2.1 – 10.8.1
  • ArcGIS Pro 2.5 and later
  • Cartography, and map/feature service publishing

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics
