We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst responsibilities include:

• Develops, communicates and leads financial analysis, to include preparation of operational budgets and forecasts
• Performs variance analysis research in order to effectively explain financial information to business leaders
• Provides analysis and presentation preparation in support of investment decisions going before Investment Review Committee.
• Works closely with various finance organizations for planning & forecasting efforts.
• Works under established policies and procedures to meet set schedules and system or program requirements.
• Continues to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities to reach a higher level of proficiency and work complexity.
• Supports and assists in the deployment of process improvement initiatives across the Finance organization on a case-by-case basis.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5+ years related experience (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year)

Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Knowledge of financial management and analysis, utility and/or relevant industry, accounting standards and practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Teaming, analytical and customer focus skills.
• Working knowledge of Power Point.
• Self-motivated proactive work style.
• Aptitude for continuous learning.
• Working knowledge of accounting systems such as SAP, BPC.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Accounting, Business, Finance

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
