We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

The Senior Business Technology Analyst serves as a key member of the IT Project Management Office (PMO), supporting the intake, planning, execution, and governance of technology initiatives. This role partners closely with project managers, scrum masters, IT leadership, and finance & accounting teams to ensure project and portfolio information is accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational priorities.  The practitioner facilitates the transition of ideas and business requests into approved projects by coordinating intake actuvities, gathering and validating business informaiton, supporting prioritization efforts, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The role provides project coordination and operational support to project managers, including project setup, financial alignment, and adherence to PMO standards and processes.

This individual serves as a liaison between business areas, project teams, and financial organizations to support project budgeting, forecasting, capitalization, financial tracking, and project accounting activities.  The Senior Business Technology Analyst reviews portfolio data, develops reporting and dashboards, identifies opportunites for process improvement, and provides recommendations to enhance project delivery effectiveness and operational efficiency. The role also assist with PMO governance, project lifecycle management, onboarding and training activities, toll administration, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Business Technology Analyst may provide guidance to less experienced team members while serving as a trusted resource for project managers, scrum masters, and leadership.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

8+ years of directly related experience. 

  • Extensive analytical ability, including organization and problem-solving techniques.
  • Expertise in presenting information through written and verbal communications, extensive facilitation skills for gathering requirements and designing business processes related to system change requests.
  • Ability to coordinate issue resolutions through direct interaction with clients and application developers; strong project management skills.
  • Extensive experience in performing complex technical analysis of various data and business problems with strong attention to detail; analytical proficiency regarding the functional and technical development of application software solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task to support production issues, test production fixes, and fulfill legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Portfolio reporting and PowerBI dashboard development.
  • Ability to quickly learn industry trends and end-user demands; stay current with best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Project financial management and fixed asset accounting knowledge and coordination.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex messages, trade-offs, and tell a compelling story; ability to articulate business requirements; strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Project Manager/Scrum Master onboarding and training support.
  • Demonstrated experience in increasing efficiences in project management and accounting processes to deliver accurate financial data to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SAP, PowerPlan, Clarity systems preferred.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s):  Business Administration, Information Systems
