We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This Key Account Manager II/III positions are located in Cayce, SC (2 positions) and Charleston, SC (1 position). All three positions will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.
2 Positions will be located in the DESC’s Large Customer Group (LCG) and 1 position will be located in the Customer Service Engineering Group (CSE). The focus for the LCG positions is large industrial electric, gas and economic development account management with a lesser focus on project management. The focus for the open CSE position is smaller electric industrial project management along with electric commercial and residential project management. The CSE position also performs project and account management for commercial national accounts and various other state, municipal and other assorted accounts.
These roles utilize broad delivery knowledge and technical skills to provide premier service to the company's largest, most complex electric and gas customers. The account managers represent Dominion Energy South Carolina as the single point of contact for multiple customers. They develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned key account customers. They coordinate, integrate and manage projects and company processes on customer's behalf. They coordinate new service arrangements including desired service characteristics, excess facilities, rate applications, associated contracts and costs. They provide improved service reliability by responding to customers and investigating electrical service operations. They identify potential power quality deficiencies and respond to power quality issues. They coordinate available company support and assistance. They perform billing reconciliation by analyzing, reconciling and resolving customer or company billing disputes. They provide detailed explanation/applications of rates to customers. They annually perform periodic account consumption history analysis for optimal rate implementation. They provide consultation on state commission-approved energy efficiency or demand response programs offered by the company. For economic development projects, the account managers provide initial costs estimates to prospects from the electric and gas engineering teams and once any prospect commits to a project, the account manager manages all contracting and troubleshoots any issue that may arise.
The Key Account Managers II/III also perform new business project coordination duties for both Commercial and Residential developments. They make recommendations and forward contact information for related services such as Gas, Lighting, Demand Side Management and other services that may be of interest to the customer. The Key Account Managers are the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the construction process and will assist in problem resolution between the developer and affected department and will ensure all documents such as contracts, signed prints, and right of way documents are included and filed for closure at completion.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Key Account Manager II
- 2-3+ years directly related experience required.
- Significant knowledge of the natural gas system and of the electrical distribution and transmission systems design and operation, metering, power quality, industrial processes and new technologies, building systems, energy management and analysis, business development opportunities, company policies and procedures, rates and billing, and emerging energy markets.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills, effective interpersonal, organization and project management skills, demonstrated consultative sales and negotiating skills, excellent customer service skills, computer proficiency with applicable PC software.
- Ability to interpret existing codes, regulations and practices as they apply to projects and daily work, troubleshoot and correct problems, simplify complex processes, and effectively execute plans with minimal involvement by management.
Key Account Manager III
- 5-6+ years directly related experience required.
- Significant knowledge of the natural gas system and of the electrical distribution and transmission systems design and operation, metering, power quality, industrial processes and new technologies, building systems, energy management and analysis, business development opportunities, company policies and procedures, rates and billing, and emerging energy markets.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills, effective interpersonal, organization and project management skills, demonstrated consultative sales and negotiating skills, excellent customer service skills, computer proficiency with applicable PC software.
