Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our VMWare administration team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in managing virtual environments, troubleshooting issues, and supporting our IT infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain valuable industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMWare environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise under the guidance of senior admins
- Create reports/dashboards for internal performance and resource monitoring, in addition to additional project reports as needed
- Help identify opportunities for automation and streamlining VMWare environments
- Support the deployment and management of virtual machines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the stability and security of the virtual infrastructure.
- Document processes and procedures for future reference.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of virtualization concepts and VMWare products.
- Basic proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Education Requirements
- Must be currently pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Students should have an anticipated graduation date of 2027 or later.
