Job Summary
We are looking for aspiring professionals for our Internship Program. This program offers a dynamic and accelerated work experience that prepares you to compete for entry-level, professional positions upon graduation, and provides you with skill-building work during the summer months of May to August. The program’s goal is to attract, develop, and retain high-potential college students. Upon graduation and after successfully completing the program, you may be eligible for consideration into a Dominion business area.
Job Summary
Dominion Energy South Carolina’s Access Control and Compliance organization has an intern opportunity available for a candidate interested in learning about enterprise level security systems. This opportunity will allow you to put your school knowledge into practice while working along with professionals within the Access Control and Compliance and IT organizations. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the operations of IT systems and processes for teams within the department, including but not limited to: Investigations, 24x7 Central Station, Access Control, and Compliance. Some of the duties may include;

Using reporting tools to generate custom reports

Assist in testing of new processes or controls that will improve efficiency

Balance discrepancies in data within the department Knowledge Base

Application support for users during system troubleshooting

Configuring and administering physical access in the enterprise security system
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Program Requirements

Completed the first year of a 4-year college/university or 2-year degree program

Degree being pursued is in Business, Criminal Justice, Computer Information Systems, Political Science, Computer Science

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Must have an anticipated graduation date of Dec. 2025 - 2028

Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills

Possess basic analytical skills

Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and provides excellent (internal) customer service

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to evaluate problems and make sound decisions

Possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail
Education Requirements
