Job Summary
During your internship at Dominion Energy, you will interact with the Network Engineering team.
- Learn and gain a better understanding of Network administration and Operations technology used in a corporate environment. (network routers, switches, wireless controllers)
- Gain hands on IT real work experience and expand your knowledge as you apply basic IT tools and software, and learn how network performance issues are resolved or restored;
- Be actively engaged in challenging work that applies proactive tools and methodologies, and apply them to real world business applications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Must possess an understanding of basic computer or networking principles and practices.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical specifications;
- Ability to evaluate problems and make sound decisions;
- Possess basic analytical and conceptual thinking;
- Adaptability to changing conditions and demands;
- Experience with a general networking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving & Trouble Shooting skills
- Quick Learner
- Team Player
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location and have reliable transportation.
Education Requirements
- Must be currently pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must have an anticipated graduation date of 2028 or later.

Hourly Rate:
$22.00 - $28.00
The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
