Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our IT Infrastructure Operations team, focusing on database monitoring and performance analysis. This internship offers hands-on experience with enterprise-level database systems and monitoring tools, providing valuable exposure to real-world IT operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor database performance using enterprise monitoring software tools , or native DB monitoring utilities.
  • Generate and analyze daily/weekly performance reports.
  • Collaborate with DBAs and system administrators to optimize database configurations.
  • Document monitoring procedures and contribute to knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for database-related alerts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with SQL and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure or Coursework in database systems
  • Exposure or Coursework with Linux/Windows server environments

Education Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Students should have an anticipated graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
