Job Summary

Want to gain actual business experience with designing Customer Information Systems, Mobile Apps and Websites?  The primary responsibility of a Business Systems Management intern is to gather business requirements and analyze technical solutions needed to implement software development and technology projects/programs.  The work creates efficiencies and adds value for customers in operations.  Under direct supervision, responsibilities include: Business Analysis: Work with clients areas and information systems to analyze business problems to be solved with automated systems; provide technical assistance to the project team to identify, evaluate, design, and specify systems and procedures; defines business requirements and analyze project impacts; prepare scope of documents, system specifications and design recommendations for information system changes; facilitate and understand data capture and tracking requirements defined by the business to improve information and business processes.  Systems testing: develop information systems test plan components and test scripts with client subject matter experts; coordinate client user testing; document and execute testing results; You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to strategies, tools and programs that are used by major companies and firms including Application Lifecycle Management, Agile, SQL, SAP, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Strong analytical ability to include problem solving techniques
  • Proficiency in presentation of information through written and verbal communication
  • The ability to perform well within a team based environment

Education Requirements

  • Have completed the first year at a 4-year college or university. Must be graduating 2026 2027, 2028 
  • Be pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems Technology, Math or a related analytical discipline
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
