Job Summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina has a vacancy located in Cayce, SC. This role is responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for changes to internal processes and/or standards/specifications to create more efficient and economical operations for Dominion Energy. Other responsibilities include:

  • Assist on multiple concurrent projects to identify and document the major business processes associated with the business unit.
  • Conduct benchmarking and best practice analysis of the business unit's processes against both industry and non-industry processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety.
  • Develop business cases to support recommendations and monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes.
  • Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodology, benchmarking, project management, and change management to projects.


There is one position available and will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Weekly Reports, damage ratio, tickets
  • Weekly analyzed data for damages
  • Monthly reports damage ratio, tickets, YTD ratio
  • Monthly SC-811 Damage Report
  • Monthly CGA DIRT report
  • Assist in at fault investigations of damages
  • Internal Audit QA/QC
  • Trending data specific to departments
  • Invoicing, requisitions, PO Creation, timekeeping

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

 

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

2-3+ years of relevant experience in a directly related field. 

  • Directly Related Experience includes: Analyzing and trending data, preparing reports, investigations, auditing, budgeting
  • Skills:  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication, problem-solving, time management, strong computer skills, planning, organizing, strong customer service orientation
  • Abilities:  Exercise independent judgment and decision-making, proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, change management

 Preferred Qualifications (meets minimum qualifications plus):

  • 3+ years’ experience in natural gas distribution/transmission pipeline operations.
  • Experience with integrity-programs, damage prevention, public awareness.
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting distribution/ transmission pipeline reports per regulations.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor
