We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy’s Information Technology team has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Programmer Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or Senior Programmer Analyst.

Under general supervision, works on fairly complex programs and performs systems design. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs. Works company wide, in a specific platform environment, on a specific project assignment. May provide occasional functional guidance to less experienced Programmer Analysts.  

 

One position is available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Associate Programmer Analyst

  • 0-2+ years' experience to qualify starting in applications programming. 
  • Software development experience and knowledge/understanding of IT principles and development practices.


Programmer Analyst

  • 3+ years related developer experience.
  • Basic knowledge of software process design, applications, and producing written use cases, flow diagrams, and system design specifications.
  • Moderate skill set in relational database design, data modeling, Salesforce Data Loader, report analytics and dashboards.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.

 

Preferred  

  • Experience with Salesforce automation Flows, Process Builder, Workflow Rules, and Approval Processes.
  • Experience with Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Component (LWC) customization.
  • Experience with full lifecycle software development (SDLC) methodologies, Agile etc.

 

Senior Programmer Analyst - all the above plus:

  • 5+ years of developer experience.
  • Strong skill set in relational database design, data modeling.
  • Salesforce experience including the following a plus: Salesforce Data Loader, report analytics and dashboards.
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce automation Flows, Process Builder, Workflow Rules, and Approval Processes.
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Component (LWC) customization.
  • Experience with integrations (REST and SOAP) and Salesforce deployment processes.
  • Equally effective working independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to process information quickly.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Salesforce credential with active certification as an Administrator, Platform App Builder or Developer is plus.
