We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. 



 

 

Job Summary

There is one position located at the Corporate Headquarters in Cayce, South Carolina and will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position assists in the creation of new Inventory items and entry to SAP, tracks performance for Materials Management area, tracks the obsolete items in storerooms, assists in the interaction with Power Generation storekeepers and Supply Chain Management personnel.  Able to assist team with error and problem resolution.

Perform other duties requested or assigned.

 

The successful candidate will have the ability to work remotely and will need to drive to Power Generation Stations within South Carolina occasionally.



Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

Associate Materials Specialist-

0-2 years related work experience.
General knowledge of, and ability to use, a personal computer and related software.
Valid driver's license with safe driving history.
Performs routine work assignments but over time will demonstrate the ability to perform more difficult work assignments

Materials Specialist-

2 or more years of related work experience.
Knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
General knowledge of, and ability to use, a personal computer and related software.
Valid driver's license with safe driving history.
Knowledge and skills with SAP and SCM preferred.
Effective communication skills for customer interactions and a willingness to work with others in a team environment.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite 


Availability for after-hours and some travel within SC

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience:

Demonstrated knowledge of SAP and Storekeeping
Demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures.

Demonstrated ability to use and comprehend mathematical calculations and formulas

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Associate Materials Specialist

  • BA/BS in related discipline with 0-2 years of relevant experience.  In lieu of BA/BS may substitute Associate's degree and 2+ years of directly related experience OR high school and 4+ years of directly related experience.

 

Materials Specialist

  • BA/BS in related discipline with 2 or more years of relevant experience  In lieu of BA/BS may substitute Associate's degree and 4+ years of directly related experience OR high school and 6+ years of directly related experience.
