We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) seeks a Business Performance Analyst to join the NERC Compliance Team in Cayce, South Carolina. This is a highly visible position, and the successful candidate will interact with compliance stakeholders at all levels across DESC, including: Electric Transmission, Power Generation, Nuclear, Power Delivery, and others. This position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The Business Performance Analyst has the following primary responsibilities:

 

•    Monitors communications from regulators and industry webinars and distributes information to appropriate DESC subject matter experts. Additionally, coordinates the development of comment and ballot positions for NERC Standards Under Development.

•    Participates on internal audit teams, captures audit team notes, assists with data sampling, internal controls evaluations, review of audit evidence, and development of audit reports.

•    Analyzes compliance data and maintains performance metrics to be shared with senior leadership.

•    Tracks NERC compliance procedures and administers review and signature processes within a timely manner.  Also, tracks regulatory data holds and works with legal to ensure data holds are released upon expiration.

•    Stays informed of employee changes affecting the NERC compliance program and maintains the standards accountability matrix and the ERO Working Group/Steering Committee rosters.

•    Assists with maintenance of ERO SharePoint site, Internal Controls Inventory, and NERC Compliance Software. Regularly monitors NERC Compliance Software to ensure it is performing as designed. 

•    Assists with administration of NERC Compliance Training and enhances training modules as assigned. 

•    Coordinates logistical items for external audits and other engagements involving external parties.

•    Participates in industry webinars (NERC, SERC, FERC, and NATF).

•    Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

 

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

 

Associate Business Performance Analyst 

0-2 years or relevant experience in a directly related field. Planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously, Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Analytical skills. Good computer skills. Good oral and written communication skills.

Business Performance Analyst
2-3+ years combination of electric utility and compliance related experience in a regulated environment. 

Senior Business Performance Analyst
5-6+ years combination of electric utility and compliance related experience in a regulated environment. Experience must include a minimum of 3-years direct experience with NERC compliance standards. 

All Positions:
•    Pays attention to details.
•    Must have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
•    Must have basic computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office Suite and various tools utilized to conduct research and analysis.
•    Must have strong analytical, organization, and administration skills.
•    Must be self-motivated; be highly proficient at multitasking and prioritizing; work independently; be positive and flexible in a changing environment; and work well with others.

Additional preferred skills include: 
•    Technical Writing

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance
