Job Summary

Dominion Energy Southeast has an opening for an Apprentice Lineman for Distribution Operations: The position is available in the Beaufort, SC service territory and is responsible for assisting with the construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical lines on our distribution system.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL-Class A) within six (6) months of hire; Must be able to regularly climb and work from utility poles 40 feet or more; carry and work with bulky equipment and material; be available to work after hours, scheduled overtime, and callout 24 hours/day, 7 days/week; work outside in heat and cold, frequently in inclement weather conditions; be safety conscious and work in proximity of high and low voltage electrical equipment; must successfully complete SCE&G's 4-year apprenticeship training program; must be in excellent physical condition, strong mechanical skills, and ability to work long hours during emergencies and/or storm restoration; must live within a 20-mile radius (30 minute drive) of the Beaufort office.

Education Requirements

Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) is required.
