Job Summary

Dominion Transmission is currently seeking an experienced Engineer II and/or Engineer III to join Storage Tech & Support Services in our Bridgeport, WV location. The Storage Tech & Support Services Department is responsible for drilling new wells, reworking existing wells, plugging and abandoning wells, changing out wellheads and completing stimulation events on gas storage wells located in our 17 Gas Storage Pools located in WV, PA & NY.


Position will provide project management and construction support for normal Storage operation and maintenance initiatives from conceptual stage through successful implementation. Responsibilities include oversight of outside consultants or contractors; preparing cost estimates and forecasts, requests for proposals and professional services, negotiations with vendors, invoice review and approval.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

There is one position available that will be filled at either the Engineer II or Engineer III level, commensurate with the selected candidates' skills and abilities.


You must demonstrate via resume or cover letter that you have met the Required Basic Qualifications:


Engineer II:

A minimum of 3+ years relevant Oil & Gas engineering experience


Engineer III:

A minimum of 7+ years relevant Oil & Gas engineering experience


Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1) Knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals

2) Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives

3) Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

4) Planning, organizational and project management skills

5) Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills

6) Effective decision making skills. Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)

7) Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems


Education Requirements

For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met:Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET, orPossess a 4-year engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or Possess a 4-year engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, orPossess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry or Math and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
