Job Summary
This role supervises the installation, replacement, maintenance, repair, and restoration of gas facilities, project and resource management, customer involvement and monitoring of work. Schedules, assigns, and monitors the work of inspectors, maintenance crews, servicemen, and / or contractors. Supervises crews during outages to ensure timely restoration of service. Performs pre and post construction review of project paperwork, resolves design and material discrepancies, reviews contractor expenses to ensure accuracy of labor and equipment charges and performs jobsite evaluations. Ensures proper work methods and procedures are applied and all safety precautions are followed. Supports reliability performance goals. Resolves customer complaints. Advises and assists in technical training and development of employees. Supervises emergency restoration of service activities, including night management of packaging work. Utilization of GIS and SAP applications. Monitors budget goals and employee productivity.
The supervisor may need to be available 24x7 and will need to be available when inspectors and contractors are working (including nights and weekends) to answer calls on an as-needed basis. Depending on the nature of the call, the supervisor is also expected to be available to respond to the work site/office if needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
- Master's degree with 2 years of directly related experience OR
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of directly related experience OR
- Associate's degree with 5+ years of directly related experience OR
- High school diploma or GED with 7+ years of directly related experience
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge: Full knowledge of pipeline distribution system; construction work methods; maintenance and repair; operations guidelines; cost analysis; customer service; essential computer skills. Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Skills: leadership; contract interpretation; interpersonal; strong verbal and written communication; project and time management; planning and organizing; decision making; teaming; training; manage multiple priorities and construction projects simultaneously; flexibility.
- Abilities: Ability to motivate employees; decision making; handle constantly changing and emerging priorities; schedule and prioritize work; physical attributes required to perform essential function of the job - walking, climbing, stooping, bending and prolonged standing.

- Military service members and veterans with a rank of E-5 or higher plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined under Minimum Requirements.
