Meet Megan, a dedicated network lineworker hailing from Richmond, Virginia.
There are three main ways to distribute electric power: overhead, underground, and network. Network distribution is crucial to servicing our communities because it supplies high-volume customers like courts, government buildings, and hospitals with reliable power. Network systems also reduce the likelihood of an outage because the transformers are buried underground- protecting them from hazards such as severe weather or vehicles accidents.
And for every variation in distribution, there is a need for a lineworker to help repair, maintain, and upgrade the systems. Our lineworkers are part of the first line of defense when safeguarding our electric transmission lines for our customers and many of them start as Electric Ground Workers in our trainee program. If you are looking for a fast-paced, exciting atmosphere and the opportunity to sharpen your skills then check our lineworker and electric ground worker openings today!

The Millstone Power Station chapter of Women in Nuclear (WIN) is all about professional development and education outreach. The group’s commitment took a special turn when a local network showcased the talents and skills of Millstone’s women in nuclear.
In this segment of WFSB’s Better Connecticut, hosted by Scot Haney, Millstone WIN members offer a show-and-tell of what they do, and why they do it at Millstone.
