Job Summary

Dominion Energy’s IT Risk Management Compliance team is seeking a Senior IT Compliance Analyst with strong analytical skills and attention to detail to provide support for our SOX and PCI initiatives. The successful candidate will assist in SOX and PCI with responsibility for providing governance over the design, implementation and monitoring of related internal controls within Dominion Energy. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of SOX and PCI requirements (or similar regulatory standards), have experience auditing and facilitating regulatory audits, facilitating the design and implementation of internal controls, have business analysis skills, and have a working knowledge of modern computing technologies.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct compliance-related analysis and produce documentation of business needs and requirements, applying working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Complete compliance-related data requests, analyze problems, and coordinate viable solutions between multiple groups within the company.
  • Apply standards such as SOX, PCI, NERC CIP, NIST, FISMA, TSA, CFATS, DOD, and the Company’s Code of Standards of Conduct.
  • Manage multiple assignments and work priorities simultaneously, utilizing tools such as SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Identify opportunities for strengthening compliance controls.
  • Ensure compliance processes and procedures are implemented for systems and applications.
  • Ensure that procedures clearly define how compliance results are obtained.
  • Organize, coordinate, and track data and evidence requests for groups within the company.
  • Evaluate evidence of compliance and measure it against procedures and regulatory requirements to determine if requirements are being met.
  • Develop and deliver training on newly-developed or revised business processes, regulatory requirements, or review findings to raise awareness and educate individuals.
  • Work with teammates and other teams to develop processes and controls that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Provide compliance support to multiple groups within Dominion Energy.
  • Provide compliance support for critical projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology Auditing, or Compliance.
  • Experience and understanding of regulatory compliance, regulatory requirements and standards, and IT controls.
  • Previous work experience in evidence collection, design and evaluation of internal controls and operational compliance processes.
  • Experience with internal and external audit activities.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security best practices.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools to include Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

  • Ability to work independently, in a support capacity, or a lead role on critical short-term and long-term projects.
  • Ability to successfully coordinate activities and solutions with team members and teams from multiple areas of the company.

  • Experience and ability to lead process documentation efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to read requirements and translate those into actionable work efforts.
  • Solid analytical skills and demonstrated skills in analyzing and solving problems and issues of varying complexity and providing detailed documentation regarding issues and resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple work efforts simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes for both ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ states.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and ensure that results meet regulatory requirements and that all procedure documentation clearly communicates how those results were obtained.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for strengthening compliance controls proactively, and effectively ensuring compliance processes and procedures are implemented for systems and applications.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training on newly-developed or revised business processes, regulatory requirements, or review findings to raise awareness and educate individuals.
