Job Summary

The Human Resources HR Operations and Delivery group seeks a dynamic individual with communications and human resources background to fill the role of Senior Communications Specialist.


This role is responsible for communication of employee benefits, compensation, and other HR policies, programs and projects. Understands and stays abreast of issues, both external and internal, that impact HR. Coordinates with various internal stakeholders to provide content and plans on issues that address internal HR communication, change management launches, strategic communication, etc. Develops and prepares articles for internal or external distribution, and other materials about HR policy, strategy, events and projects.


Facilitates communication between company management, employees. Identifies issues and takes lead in developing strategic HR communication plans for the appropriate audience and advises management on communication plans. Responds with concise and accurate information to inquiries about HR policies, operations and projects.  Provides day-to-day guidance to other HR staff on complex communications issues or projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Requires a minimum 6+ years corporate communications and/or related experience.

Knowledge of concepts of Company and HR policies and programs.

Successful experience in managing complex communications projects under budget and time deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills. Shows ability to work well with others, to lead a team or to work productively within a team.

Demonstrated initiative and self direction.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated superior writing and editing skills.

Experience processing and responding to information and requests quickly.

Experience developing and managing network of contacts for news gathering and dissemination.

Experience successfully leading, scheduling, and prioritizing multiple organizational level projects.

Experience working independently without direct supervision and direction.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Other Education: Journalism, Mass Communications
