Senior Communications Specialist - Digital Brand Marketing

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist – Digital Brand Marketing to fill a core role on the Digital Marketing and Communications team responsible for digital marketing and storytelling across the enterprise.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in marketing customer facing programs and projects in support of core business objectives.   This position will develop strategy and implement digital marketing campaigns on owned and paid digital channels, including but not limited to social media, web, paid search, and email.


Responsibilities: 
•    Executes full funnel marketing campaigns to meet business objectives; from strategy to optimization and audience insights, to reporting 
•    Build and maintain marketing editorial calendars; lead the creation of engaging, compelling content across owned and paid digital channels 
•    Manage, track and optimize budget across all channels 
•    Develop creative strategy and work with creative teams (internal and external) to produce creative/marketing material for campaigns 
•    Responsible for email marketing campaign strategy and execution
•    Manage relationships with internal partners and clients to execute communication projects that advance business objectives 
•    Coordinate with other marketing and advertising efforts throughout the company  
•    Stay current with digital marketing trends, identify and test new marketing tools and technologies 
•    Other duties, as assigned 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years digital marketing experience 
    Note: A partial year of related experience of 6 months or greater will count as a year towards the qualifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The ideal candidate brings experience from either corporate communications and marketing or agency settings 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills 
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Ability to build relationships and work in a cross-functional team environment, experience managing agency relationships 
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task and thrive within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Strong attention to details in producing deliverables while understanding big-picture objectives and strategy 
  • Experience analyzing B2C and B2B marketing performance and creating actionable recommendations for digital, social and email campaigns
  • Proficiency with CRMs, SEO strategy, Google Data Studio and Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager; AdWords certification a plus  
  • Experience driving email marketing 
  • Ability to combine strong creative instincts with data-driven analysis 
  • Demonstrate understanding of paid search best practices, keyword development and industry research    
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Communications or equivalent work experience preferred 
  • Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
