We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
Responsible for leading analysis projects and making recommendations for changes to internal processes and/or standards/specifications in order to create more efficient and economical operations for delivering Dominion Energy's DER Management capabilities. Provide leadership on multiple concurrent projects to identify, evaluate, prioritize, scope, and meet objectives for business processes within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety. Lead activities of matrixed, cross-functional project teams, generate sponsorship and manage customer expectations for projects, bring projects to closure, develop and communicate business cases to support recommendations, and, monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes. Develop and effectively apply standard methodology, templates, and tools for business process improvement projects.
This role will also support demonstration of grid operations with high levels of distributed energy resources (DERs) as part of the GRid Integration & Demonstration of Flexible Energy Resources (GRID-FLEXER), virtual power plants (VPPs) and other related Company initiatives. Activities will focus on identifying technologies that meet the business needs, evaluating multiple solutions for best fit, gathering and shaping business requirements, engaging internal and external stakeholders, and establishing a roadmap for implementation and seeing projects through to successful completion.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
5-6+ years of previous experience with fully executing projects. Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively lead and facilitate multiple project teams simultaneously. Ability to quickly resolve complex problems and adjust work plans with limited supervision. Proficiency in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management. Strong customer service orientation.
Demonstrated understanding of synchronous and inverter-based DER Technology, including but not limited to: PV, Wind, Battery, Natural Gas, Diesel and Biomass. Demonstrated understanding of flexible load resources like residential loads (smart thermostats, electric vehicles, smart water heaters, pool water pumps, etc.) and commercial and industrial loads, etc.
Demonstrated experience with managing complex multi-year projects; ability to identify and assess risks and opportunities and taking action to mitigate/leverage them. Strong leadership, organizational, resolution management, and team building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
