Job Summary


Dominion Energy is actively seeking a candidate to manage various Smart Home program efforts in support of our new and innovative business segment called BrightSuite. The successful candidate is expected to be able to commute and reasonably travel the service territory, under normal operating business conditions and needs.

 

This role includes dual responsibility for developing and managing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing near term and long term goals. This role will also be in charge of developing budgets, operating plans and business cases instrumental to the program’s success.  

 

Responsible for leading all facets of the development, implementation, and operations of CES strategic program initiatives including:

 

  • Development of business partnerships with a variety of internal departments, external vendors, regulatory, governmental entities, and industry peers. 
  • Responsible for analyzing program risks and producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle
  • Evaluate and implement refinements to the programs services and offerings
  • Partner with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services
  • Serve as spokesperson to ensure company messages are conveyed consistently and accurately
  • Lead contract negotiations as well as the consistent compliance and execution of applicable contracts
  • Lead research of applicable laws and regulations and develop and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance
  • Understanding of relevant levers that enable nimble financial adjustments to ensure program budgets are consistently achieved. 
  • Establish program milestones and monitor ongoing costs and revenues and document scope changes and variances
  • Responsible for development and implementation of marketing plans to achieve customer enrollment goals
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

 

  • 7-8+ years related energy industry experience (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications; A master’s degree can count as one year experience)
  • Prior experience in a titled position or demonstrated role, with either team, process, program, and/or project leadership
  • Program management experience is a plus, but not required
  • Customer service, community engagement, and/or business-to-business service experience 
  • Strong leadership, organizational, resolution management, and team building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and assess risks and opportunities


Note to Military: Military service members and veterans with a rank of E-5 or higher plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).

Bachelor Degree preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education)
