Operations Assistant - Warehouse

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting with inventory control functions including recording of receipt and transfer of inventory into and out of warehouses; generating billing necessary to recover costs associated with third party damage and service work and also, performing administrative duties for the service group to include but not limited to: coordinating and adjusting scheduling of various installations, jobbing, and maintenance activities; maintaining records of work schedules; dispatching employees; assuring quality work orders by accumulating and verifying required information; tracking outstanding work orders; performing data collection and entry; creating spreadsheets; monitoring daily work processes and measures; preparing performance reports; acting as a liaison between customers and employees to ensure efficient and effective service delivery; receiving complaints; verifying information and working with appropriate personnel to ensure prompt and effective resolution of complaints; adjusting time sheets in the timekeeping system; entering receipts and proper accounting codes for procurement cards; and providing all administrative support to other locations and supervisors within region.  #LI-MT1

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Bilingual candidates preferred.  2-5 years of administrative/clerical experience or related field. Must have strong computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office products; must have strong keyboarding skills and internet navigation skills; must be able to work independently and as a team; must be able to learn and utilize various company computer programs (such as: Customer Information Systems, Geographical Information Systems, PeopleSoft, Extra Web TMS, Power Plant, Mapframe, Teradata, Timekeeping systems, FileNet, and the two-way radio system); must have strong organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking skills; must have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with internal and external customers; must be able to demonstrate ability to fully cross train with their office personnel; must be able to work weekdays 7:00am-4:00pm and other others subject to business need; and must be able to participate in assigned emergency response activities.  Some heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. and ability to utilize a forklift is required.

Education Requirements

Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) accredited by an organization that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or one of the entities recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Other Working Conditions

Work performed in both an office and warehouse environment.  Some heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. and ability to utilize a forklift is required.
