Job Summary
A Generation Project Leader is needed to support the Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) effort at North Anna Power Station by working in cross-functional teams to manage large capital projects through engineering, procurement, contract management, planning, construction, and closeout. SLR projects perform major modifications, replacements, and upgrades to existing nuclear power plant structures, systems, and components.
Support the project management team by managing specific portions of the project including technical, construction, quality, cost and schedule. Supports development and management of specific portions of project budget and schedule. Coordinate plant commissioning process including safety, development of system turnover packages, system walkdowns, punch list management, coordination with operations and system documentation. Major complex projects include condenser replacements, digital instrumentation upgrades, Reactor Coolant Pump Refurbishments, cable and buried piping replacements, and reactor building cranes and fuel handling equipment upgrades. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Reports to Supervisor of Nuclear Projects for the SLR Projects Group in Virginia.
The Generation Project Leader is differentiated from the Generation Project Manager by the size and scope of the portfolio. The Generation Project Leader will be responsible for managing smaller projects and supporting Generation Project Managers on larger projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Five (5) years experience managing projects, or managing multi-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Detailed technical knowledge of large power plant systems and equipment and operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of major power plants and equipment including but not limited to boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, motors, control systems, electrical/instrumentation, and other balance-of-plant systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or Construction Management preferred plus at least at least five (5) years experience managing projects, or managing multi-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Some station and engineering experience preferred.
- Must have good technical and cost management skills.
- Strong communication and integration skills are required.
- Ability to coordinate processes and provide leadership in a team environment.
- Ability to analyze information and made sound decisions.
- Demonstrated computers skills.
Note:
A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will count as one year toward the year of experience.
A Master's Degree will count as one year toward the years of experience.

Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
