Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a subsidiary business unit within the gas distribution segment of Dominion Energy. The role will lead a team of financial professionals and work with management to develop and implement strategies to achieve short-term and long-term financial goals.  This will include process management of financial services, planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, etc. for the business unit. The role will lead and coordinate the annual 5-year financial plan process.  Manages the monthly forecasting and reporting process including an understanding of both financial and regulatory accounting conventions. Provides leadership on financial analysis and overall financial function including advising executive leadership and colleagues on decisions with financial implications. Ensures that capital projects are evaluated. Works with other gas distribution business units to identify and implement best practices. Manages operational review process. Manages service agreement process with other Dominion Energy business units. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

  • 8+ years directly related experience with a Master's degree OR
  • 9+ years directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree
  • The company is actively seeking United States Military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined above.


Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices, pricing, cost allocation, budgeting.
  • Experience managing financial processes that cross multiple states.
  • Skills: proven leadership, effective communication, organization and interpersonal, finance and accounting.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Energy industry experience is a plus

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:



Preferred: Accounting, Business, Finance

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Other: CPA preferred.
