Job Summary

Dominion  Energy Transmission, Inc.  is seeking an entry level Draftsperson at our White Oaks General Office Building located in Bridgeport, WV.

 

As our entry level Draftsperson you will perform various routine drafting activities, copying plans and drawings; preparing simple sketches, graphs and charts; assisting in engineering calculations and various phases of related field work; updating our geographic information system (GIS).

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

You must demonstrate via resume or cover letter that you have met the following Required Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years experience in drafting  utilitizing AutoCad.

 

Candidates with prior mapping (GIS), drafting of natural gas facilities and formal drafting education are strongly preferred.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

1. Ability to interpret drawings and records and input information into mapping (GIS) system.

 

Preferences:

1. Experience in the natural gas industry utilitizing AutoCad 2015 or later.

2. Experience in GIS (i.e., ESRI, Smallworld) 

Education Requirements

Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Preferred: Associate Degree in Design, Drafting, or GIS. 

Working Conditions

Test Description

Must pass Clerical Aptitude, Windows & Excel and a Draftsperson Handwritten and a Draftsperson Hands-On Test.
